You can enjoy the extensive world of wagashi, from traditional Jo-namagashi, Manju, Dango to Western-style Japanese cakes which are available exclusively in Kyoto.

Not only eating but you can also learn how to make wagashi at our workshop. You can participate in the 2 hours class which is programmed for beginners and try to make beautiful wagashi by your own hands. At the end of the class, you can taste your hand-made Wagashi ! (A useful English explanatory pamphlet is available.)

For centuries, Wagashi has been served as refreshments for the people who visits shrines or temples so no wonder you will find famous Wagashi vendors near by well known temples. After refreshing with wagashi, you will enjoy the strolling around the world heritage sites.

At a market place, you will find various unique foods in Kyoto, such as Kyoto-brand vegetables, Kyoto-pickles, which are all in season. You can eat in at some shops or you may eat whatever you purchase while walking thorough the market. Your guide will support in communicating with the shopkeepers. Market place in Kyoto is a very popular visiting place for tourists.
